The Treasure Chest

Picture
This was easy to make with a styrofoam ice chest and poster paint.  I completed the look with some beads and rings (easily purchased at a party supply store).  The final touch was the goody bags which I'll go over below.

Our Treat Bags

Pirate Booty
I was searching for something unique for a treat bag and I found the perfect idea...all you need is a pack of brown paper lunch bags, a permanent marker, and whatever treats you are including.(http://www.boardmanweb.com/party/pirate.html), they didn't have a picture...but I have a pretty vivid imagination.  I dressed them up with a pirate lolly and some black ribbon, I really lucked out in finding lots of pirate themed candy from the DOLLAR TREE of all places.  Although if I had more time or the resources I might have dressed them up a bit more, maybe some gold coin chocolates or  some beads hanging out.  But, althogether I really liked the way these turned out.

The Decorations...

Arggh...Here there be pirates!

Picture
Our Pirate Ship...I did this free hand and cut it out before pasting it onto a huge cardboard box.  I plan to have the fog machine inside it to give our front yard a spooky setting.  It went perfectly with our hanging skeletong with his sign "dead men tell no tales" and our giant spider web made of simple black ribbon and a paper tarantula...unfortunately none of the pics I took of that came out!!  BUMMER!

These are my design...what a little poster paint and imagination can create :)
You can't really go wrong with monster hands because the more twisted you make them the better they look!

The MAP!

Picture
This was for our game "Pin the X on the Treasure".  I wish I could showcase it a little more...Perhaps I'll take a better pic of it.
